CMG to host major art exhibition in Paris featuring over 200 works

Art enthusiasts in the French capital, Paris, will have the opportunity to view over 200 pieces by leading Chinese artists. The exhibition, titled "From Beijing to Paris: Olympic Tour of Chinese and French Artists," is being organized by China Media Group (CMG) and is set to open at Les Invalides in May.

The announcement was made at a press conference on Tuesday, during which Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and president of CMG, presented appointment letters to the event's special consultants.

"2024 marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France," said Xue Jijun, a member of CMG's editorial board. "It's also the year modern Olympic Games return to its starting point after a century."

Xue said the art exhibition aims to promote the Olympic spirit and cultural exchange.

CMG is a major broadcaster for the Paris Olympic Games, contributing more production work for public broadcasts than any other national broadcaster.

"The fusion of sports and art exemplifies the Olympic spirit," said Wu Weishan, head of the National Art Museum of China and one of the special consultants. "This event will serve as a bridge between Chinese and French cultures."
